Tracy and Johnny. Johnny and Tracy. That’s how their love story goes.
Tracy, with a smile so contagious and a heart so warm, is the perfect match for Johnny–friendly, loving, and family oriented. Although their morning was running a little behind schedule, they took it all amazingly well and still had fun. They enjoyed every minute of their rehearsal, first look, and wedding party portraits. Always so patient with one another and taking in every second of their wedding day.
We started out the morning getting ready at the Washington County Fairgrounds. This was a great venue for the guests that Tracy and Johnny, along with their families expected to attend. I arrived just as the decorators were setting up the tables, draperies, and florals. The tables were beautifully covered with navy cloth and each chair was detailed with a navy or blush pink cloth wrapped around a beautiful jewel.
The first look happened outside the fairgrounds where there was a big sign that said, “Congratulations Tracy & Johnny.” I thought this was a great detail to add to their first look and another reminder that today was their day. Shortly after the first look, we drove out to Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians for their bridal party portraits. We stayed there for about 45 minutes before we made the trip back to the ceremony.
Ceremonies are our favorite thing to photograph. We love the silence that enters the room and the love that fills it all up. We love the smiles that are exchanged here between the bride and groom, bridesmaids, and the guests. We love photographing the groom’s reaction as he watches his bride walk down the aisle. These moments are so precious because this is when everything they’ve ever dreamed of, comes to life. Everything they’ve always worked hard for is in front of them.
We feel so lucky to have captured it all for them!
